INTRODUCTION

Hello, my bookish witchlings, and welcome to my new website and blog! With this blog, I not only hope to share my process as a writer but to also offer writing advice and publish book reviews and other bookish posts.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

As you may or may not know, until recently I was signed with and was the vice president and a main editor for The Polyethnic Publishing/Novelstruck for a good nearly two years. Even though that company met an unfortunate end earlier this month, I learned a lot from that experience that I hope to implement in all my future writing endeavors. Through that company, I learned the importance of social media as a marketing platform as well as various marketing tactics, and since I started out as a writer I no longer feel as awkward as I used to about marketing my books. After all, if I do not put myself out there as a writer, who else will?

The Polyethnic Publishing was one roller coaster of an experience. We had many ups and downs during our time as a company, and for the first time ever that company gave me a purpose. Even though it is no longer existing, I want to carry that purpose here where I share what I have learned and even talk about certain aspects of the traditional publishing world that are not so pleasant. At the end of the day, all publishing is is a business, and the entire goal of a business is to maximize profits. The Polyethnic Publishing was no exception to that.

During these days, I am currently revising the books I published with The Polyethnic Publishing in order to make them the best that they can be for republishing, and I just started seriously trying to learn graphic design, including cover art. There are a lot of bumps in the road ahead of me that I have already foreseen, and I am fully prepared to take on this challenge and bring you all with me on this journey. I hope you all will find this blog both informative and entertaining, and I look forward to interacting with you all. Starting off, I am going to be posting roughly two posts per week on here with one being a review that I have already published on Goodreads and the other being a brand new post. After those reviews have been republished, expect one post a week to come out every Friday!
